In reply to <a href="https://www.marcialslaw.com/a-federal-philippines-a-modest-proposal/#comment-3984">Wheng</a>.

Sang-ayon ako sa mga punto mo, kaibigang Wheng. Kaya nga I have divided my long article into four shorter articles in order to make them more palatable to our kababayans, especially the ones who are just learning tungkol sa pederalismo. As you read, I wrote arguments supporting federalism and arguments against it with rebuttals. I scrutinized the ideal model for RP to emulate, and even presented a few functional concepts which I think should be assimilated into the new Philippine constitution. All that is needed is for people to keep an open mind in order to learn about something new, or, rather, something which may have simply been forgotten. After all, I did point out sa lathala ko na some of our Philippine founders already knew about federalism. Samakatuwid, remembering ang paksa. :)

Think your commentary is on point and essential I believe. I think federalism is indeed good or favorable but my main concern is the preparedness of the country particularly the uninformed citizen to that drastic change. I can see your eagerness to eliminate or at least minimize the overuse of power but the country has a history of that so introducing a system that may deviate the norm may take a great working and longer period of time before it is truly appreciated.
Kaibigan, I am one with you in empowering all the regions of the Philippines through equal representation but our country has a different dynamic that maybe a lot different from the US, so I guess, prior shift to a new paradigm, there is a great need to really wake the people to genuinely discern and understand the pros and cons of the shift and be more active in participating every significant national activities or decision-makings.
Besides, I firmly believe that regardless of whatever type of government we have, the main key to its effectivity is the people: informed, open-minded and well-involved citizens plus conscientious and genuine leaders.
